With reference to your letter No. 39686/1912 of
the 3rd September 1918 on the subject of the disposal of small amounts of Government Stock belonging to the estates of deceased persons formerly resident in any of the Colonies, I have the honour to inform you that we have been requested to dispose of £20 War Stock 19′′)/47 standing in the name of Mr Herbert Trank Pearson of Hong Kong deceased.

I have to enquire whether the Colonial Office could ask H.M.Treasury to make a concession, as in the caP( of Mr C.F.Ligoure which is referred to in your letter of
30th April 1921 No. 26649, and give the necessary authority

to the Bank of England to transfer to us the stock which now stands in the name of Mr Pearson.
3. I have also to enclose a copy of a letter from the
5 War Stock Government of Trinidad on the subject of £100 192/47 standing in the name of Hr Charles John Nihell Libert. If the usual formalities for proving the death etc., are followed considerable delay will be experienced, and I have toenquire whether the concession, referred to in paragraph 2 could also be granted in this case.
